Our Classes

Here's our full list of available classes at The Gym at Moffat.

  • Bands

Exercising with a resistance band can help improve your strength and flexibility. Resistance bands are large elastic bands that you can use to exercise all areas of the body. They can be good for people with limited mobility, as many of the exercises can be done while seated.

Strength activities make your muscles stronger while flexibility exercises stretch them, making everyday activities easier. Some of these can be done while seated.

If you have a heart condition or high blood pressure it’s important to check with your doctor or cardiac rehabilitation team what sort of activities you can safely do and how much you should do.

We insure all our ‘Bands’ workouts are designed to accommodate all levels of fitness.

Please make sure to bring your own bands to the class.

  • Beats

Beats is a combination cardio and weight training exercise approach that includes some of the rhythmic techniques used in Pilates. A full-body workout that usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour, Beats includes exercises that involve alternate squatting and standing to strengthen the inner and outer thighs, buttocks, core muscles, and back muscles. Many of the positions used in Pound are ideal for helping maintain and improve balance.

  • Circuits

Circuit training is a form of body conditioning that involves endurance training, resistance training, high-intensity aerobics, and exercises performed in a circuit, similar to High-intensity interval training. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. An exercise "circuit" is one completion of all set exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, one begins the first exercise again for the next circuit. Traditionally, the time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise.
